We went with white background to begin with, because well black and white designs are sexy, but we do realise that there need to be more put into it. We like the stage that the design has got to so far though. I explained about the gradient background that I had done and we decided that a gradient wouldn't really be necessary so we decided to try out just a plain background instead.
A solid colour background works a lot better. We decided to get the right colours to use for each of the coffees in the range - we did this by matching up similar to what is on each of the labels.
We really like the white background so decided to try the colour for the type part.
We both agree the colour works better on the background.
Just playing around with stuff on illustrator with the different effects and filters, Baljeet did one for a scribble which actually turned out quite nice.
It works well for making the situation stand out more. We didn't know whether to use it or not though, but then discussed how it could represent that the colour is the situation causing the coffee craving, and then the scribble can sort of represent like how DE would help to clear that sort of thing. We continued to experiment with this, and also tried out the different colours too.
We really like this and have decided that this will be the design direction that we will take for the rest of the outcomes.
