In our group, theres myself, Baljeet, Beth and Lisa.
Before finishing for Christmas, we decided to all go away and be thinking about this, and then will all get our heads together to come up with ideas and possibilities for us to pitch.
Book
Wanting to step away from the usual format of having a page per person like what has been done in all of the previous years, we developed the idea of having a 'pack' rather than a book. In this would be a smaller yearbook with the information from tutors and what not, as well as a disk which would contain an interactive PDF of everyones work which would link out to websites and email addressed. We also decided on a poster that could be produced to a larger quantity than the amount of year books to also use as a way of promoting the end of year show and be something to take down to new blood. Then we decided that all of this would come in an envelope. We would still stick to the 21 x 21 format.
Idea
We discussed a number of ideas during the course of our meeting. The main two that everyone liked was 'Shit just got real' and 'You ain't seen nothing yet'. Although the preferred one was actually shit just got real, we decided to go with the other one as it will work better as a concept.
All sheets and annotations were taken by Beth during the meeting, which she has uploaded on to her blog.
We decided that we would all go away from the meeting and have a go at design possibilities, and then we can all pull back together what we have come up with and thought of to then go from there.
