Brief 3 - Idea pt.1

Following the meeting with the girls on the Interior Design course, we got together to discuss possible ideas.

The mention of the fold that they are required to use is a big influence and we think that this would be an interesting aspect to take on for what we produce to tie in more with the course itself. And looking at the work example that we have been kind enough to keep, we got the idea to maybe replicate this, but obviously fitting to the 210x210 scale format.

We could have the front of the print when folded to look exactly like the front of the work with the lines and titles, but obviously changing them to be more suited to the yearbook - so having things like the client being Leeds College of Art and the designed by section to contain our names. I reckon this will be a nice play on what they do and tie into the course really well.

Instead of the key that they have for the diagram above this information for the image on the fold out, we could look at maybe developing a key to represent the sort of areas that they work to - so like how we have print and branding and what not, they will most likely have similar sort of areas they certain people do.

Then, considering the hierarchy of the fold, on the back would obviously have the college logo, and then when it is folded out, the next part that is then seen is the complete other side of the print, so this could be where the course information goes, and then in the middle section have the thumbnails and contact details of the students.

On the reverse then would be a poster.

Beth sketched this out as we were discussing it, and these will most likely be on her blog. We need to discuss what we have come up with with Lisa as she went straight after the meeting, but I think we're have a really good initial idea to put forward.
